it's 3am, do you know where your camera is?

i could chalk being a night owl up to left over to residual effects
of college life but that would not exactly be the truth. i've always been
a child of the night. i always get most motivated right around midnight.
i don't understand it but i've learned to embrace it. and take others with
me whenever possible! muahhaha!



well, we had sparklers but only managed to light one and
snap one photo before it went out... special.


then there was this orb...




it does crazy things to people...

moments

luckily enough for me i still get to live for summer. the sunshine,
the kids, hanging out with friends, staying up late... who doesn't love
summer? then comes fall and winter and the sun seems to hide, kids
are gone, friends back to school, jobs and the like. and i'm still here...
in the quiet, in the gray, wet, and cold. at times i almost forget why
i stick around and then there are moments when i'm reminded...
usually it's looking out at the lake or tickling leina or laughing at
Shea & Jeremy singing some ridiculous made up song and sometimes
it's just there in my heart. and i know i'm not alone. not really.

the AMAZING mr. & mrs. benjamin derkin

there aren't many people that i adore more than benjamin and jennifer derkin.
AH! DERKIN! they are married! wow. as i was saying... benjamin and jennifer
are 2 of the most loving, talented, wonderful people i know and i had the pleasure
of running the photobooth at their reception just last weekend with our friend Ross.
i count it among the highest of priviledges and honors that ever were to be able to share some of their night with you...

Joe & Joy

Back in July I had the privilege of photographing the wedding of Joe and Joy.
Joe and I served together at Beulah Beach way way back in the day and I was
delighted when they asked me to be a part of their special day.




joy and joe could not have a had a more perfect day for a wedding!!

it was a beautiful day to be a wedding photographer. you can truly
see the love these two have and i am blessed to have been a part of
